Hornton History Group are hosting a fascinating talk on Thursday 9th February, about the history of Britain’s largest RAF station – Brize Norton.

In Brize Norton: 80 Years of Service, Trevor Jackson, who spent 29 years in the RAF himself, will talk about the airfield from its earliest days in 1937 and through World War II, including its roles in D-Day and Arnhem.

He will also talk about the part played by the airfield in the Cold War and more modern conflicts.

Trevor’s talk takes place in Hornton Pavilion at 7.30pm.

You don’t have to be a History Group member to attend – everyone is invited. Tickets will cost £5 on the door and refreshments will be available.
