The Parish Church of St John the Baptist will be holding a special communion service at 11am this Sunday, February 12.
The Revds Sarah and Simon Cawdell will be visiting and speaking of their forthcoming ministry in northern Uganda.
Through the Church Mission Society, Sarah will become principal of a small theological college and Simon will be working in economic development and helping lay Christians develop their discipleship.
Following the service, you will be welcome to a soup lunch at Horley Vicarage, starting at 1pm, where you can chat further with Simon and Sarah. If you would like to come, please do let Guy Edwards know by ringing him on 738191 or emailing vicarofironstone@gmail.com
And don’t forget that you can pop in for coffee, cake and a chat in the Methodist Church every Friday morning from 10.30am to 12 noon. There’s now a special children’s corner where parents can have a cuppa whilst keeping an eye on their little ones playing – with children’s toys provided.
