Winter Wonderland

Sarah Walther is back by popular demand when the 3Hs Gardening Club meet next Tuesday, November 8, at 7.30pm in the pavilion.

She will be talking about Winter Flower Arranging and, of course, giving a demonstration.

You don’t have to be a member to go along. Non-members are more than welcome for the payment of a small fee but why not join the 3Hs if you’re interested in gardening?

There’s a host of interesting events through the year – talks, outings, the annual plant sale and the flower and produce show. And 3Hs members get ten per cent off anything you buy at Farnborough Garden Centre, so you’ll make the joining fee back with your first purchase.

Tuesday’s meeting will also include a bring’n’buy sale of plants and other gardening items, said the club’s Mike Patching.

“The bring’n’buy will need some items for us all to sort through, so bring stuff along that you think might appeal,” he said. “I have some gardening gloves and packs of seeds that I’ll bring along.

“And the Christmas Dinner has been arranged for 7pm on December 14 at the Dun Cow. The menu will be circulated at the next meeting, on December 8, when names and commitment for the event will be sought.”
