An extra event has been added to the packed schedule of events taking place in the village to mark the Platinum Jubilee: there’s going to be a special Jubilee Village Photograph!
Please will every villager assemble on the green by the flagpole for a few minutes this Sunday, June 5, at 11.20am sharp. There’s no dress code – everything from red, white and blue to your Sunday best to shorts and a tee shirt is just fine. And please bring your pets – when we had our last village photograph, at the time of the Millennium, we had lots of dogs and even a horse!
Even if you’re not intending to go to any other Jubilee events on Sunday, please come along, but the start time of 11.20am is designed to allow people to attend the service in the parish church at midday. And please tell any of your friends and neighbours who are not online to make sure they know it’s happening.
Prints of the photograph will be available as soon as possible after the Jubilee.
