Church Services

There is a packed schedule of services taking place over the festive period.

This Sunday, December 18, there will be a service of lessons and carols at 6pm in Hornton Methodist Church.

On Monday 19th December at 8pm, there will be a Compline in the Parish Church of St John the Baptist. Compline is the last Anglican Liturgical prayer of the day, said by some priests daily and by groups of people together on special days or in special seasons.

At 5.30pm on Christmas Eve there will be the building and blessing of the crib in the parish church – a short informal service for all ages with lots of carols and a bit of fun!

At 11.30pm, also in the parish church, there will be a candle-lit Midnight Mass. If the weather allows, the last verse of O Come All Ye Faithful will be sung on the lawn under the stars to welcome Christmas Day!
