Hornton Primary School

Welcome To Wendy

Hornton School has a new headteacher, who started last week, at the beginning of the new term.

Wendy Whitehouse thanked all the children and parents who she said made her first week at Hornton such a positive experience.

“ It’s been wonderful to see so many happy faces at the start, and end, of the school day,” she said. “As I have spent time in each class this week I have been impressed with the sensible, calm and mature attitude displayed by the children.

“I will be listening to the views of the pupils, staff and parents as we move through the term. By working together, we can ensure that all children enjoy their time at Hornton, make excellent progress and leave us with the necessary skills and attitudes to be successful in their secondary schools.”

Wendy was previously head teacher of Farthinghoe Primary School, which was found to be “outstanding” when Ofsted last inspected it. Everyone at Hornton has high hopes of her repeating that outstanding performance here and gave her a warm welcome.

Wendy said that her first week at her new school had been wonderful.
