Hornton Progressive Dinner Party

The ever-popular Hornton Progressive Dinner Party is back!

October 15 is the date to mark in your diaries and there’s a new organiser: Ni Marot has taken over from Anne Joyner.

More details will be included in the next edition of The Gossip but, for anyone who’s been on another planet for the past few years, here’s what happens at a progressive dinner: you either opt to be a guest or a host. If you’re guest, you go to three different venues for your starter, main course and dessert. You take a bottle of wine to your first host but, after that, all food and drink is provided for you.

At the end of the evening, you pay your final hosts for dinner – and all of the money goes to village causes.

If you’re a host, you don’t pay anything but you provide three different courses, with wine, for your guests.
