Church Service

The Rev Alicia Baker is delighted to announce that the Rev Guy Edwards has accepted the Bishop’s invitation to be the Ironstone Benefice’s next house for duty associate priest.

“Guy brings many years’ experience, and has served in both Bath and Wells and, most recently, St. Albans Dioceses,” she said. “Guy is married to Jesse, and they anticipate moving into the Vicarage in late August or early September, with a licensing date around mid-September, with the precise date to be confirmed. We give great thanks to God for his good provision after what has been a long and protracted process.”

There will be an 11am service, led by Alicia, in the Parish Church of St John the Baptist this Sunday, July 10. As everyone in the village is invited, there will be no separate service in the Methodist church.

But don’t forget that you can pop in for coffee, cake and a chat in the Methodist Church every Friday morning from 10.30am to 12 noon. And there’s now a special children’s corner where parents can have a cuppa whilst keeping an eye on their little ones playing – with children’s toys provided.
